About Us

Cassandra Jade da Costa started Salt Aesthetics and Co (then Cassandra Jade's Beauty) in 2021 from a granny flat in her parent's home. When she left high school in 2019, she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. She always had an interest in the beauty and art industry whether it be learning how to do her makeup, how to look after her skin, or drawing in her sketchbook. Somehow, when she had to decide on a career path, none of these things came to mind. Prior to opening the salon, she taught drama and dance classes. However, in 2020, our lives were struck with sudden change and this encouraged her to dive deeper into what she truly wanted and loved to do. After we were able to go back to our normal lives, in January 2021; Cassandra's mom encouraged her to take an eyelash extensions course because "You would be so good at it! It's precise and you're a perfectionist". So, they booked and that was the first step to the history of Salt Aesthetics and Co because after the first day, Cassandra was in LOVE with the beauty industry and all the anatomy and perfectionism behind it. When she started taking her lash case studies thats when her true passion came through; she loved making women feel beautiful! Since then, the treatment menu is ever growing to make sure there is at least 1 treatment for everyone. In February 2022, Salt Aesthetics moved out of the granny flat that the business once called home and into a small room in Nelson Mandela Avenue. However, after being there for only 4 months, Cassandra had outgrown the space and started looking for bigger premises. This is when she found her beautiful spot in Jackson Street, Brackenhurst. The business was there for 2,5 years and needed even more space! So the business moved to 59 Holzgen Street, Brackenhurst and after 1 year decided the next best move was into a medical practice. So Salt Aesthetics moved to 52 True North Road, Mulbarton (also known as Mulbarton Medical and Sports Medicine Centre) ! 

The new goal as of 2026, is to focus on the services that Cassandra enjoys the most and touch the lives of women making them all feel beautiful. The slogan "changing everything we touch" is the motto for Salt Aesthetics and Co where Cassandra can strive for excellence in each service and change everything that is touched for the better! The goal is to be that place of tranquility offering you peace and cleansing as you do each treatment. The same way salt cleanses and offers balance and flavour to each meal you eat, Salt Aesthetics and Co strives to be that place that changes a bland piece of your life into something extra flavourful.
